Hollyhedge Road, West Bromwich Highway Works Adjustment of highway to include Speed Tables, Drainage Movements, Surfacing
This project involved the introduction of speed tables at cross roads along the length of Hollyhedge Road as traffic calming measures. Kerb lines had to be broken out and re-aligned to suit along with drainage movements to accommodate the works.
Dropped pedestrian crossings at all junctions were constructed including tactile paving and footpaths were re-graded to suit the new works. Tree pits re-adjusted with edgings around. Asphalt surfacing of the footpaths, speed tables and carriageway with new road markings laid. Meticulous planning of the works and excellent traffic management was employed to ensure traffic could continue to flow in all directions and footpaths remained open for pedestrians and school children. New road signs and posts were installed to the surrounding area.
