Works were required to widen an inner city single lane carriageway to facilitate a new bus lane and stop, parking bays and new right turn lanes. This required the diversion of services, including HV & BT ducting, the re-alignment of the carriageway to widen and a central Splitter island with traffic signals in the 3 junctions affected for the new alignment.
Bridge Construction planned and managed the work every day ensuring all key stakeholders were kept informed as works progressed. Traffic management was employed to ensure the road remained open to one way traffic and all road users, workforce and shop owners were kept safe and fully aware of the works progressing.
